ENGLISH-LANGUAGE SKI SCHOOLS

title_schools

One of the best ways to improve your skiing or boarding—and get a lot more out of the sports—is by taking lessons at one of Myoko’s ski schools. Three local schools have English-speaking staff, with programs covering everything from children’s lessons, group and private lessons, skiing, snowboarding and Telemark skiing, to backcountry tours and hiking.

Yodel Ski School

The Yodel Snow School was established in 1960, so we have been introducing the joy of snow sports in this magnificent natural setting for half a century. We offer professional training in skiing and snowboarding, and can introduce you to powder and backcountry skiing and boarding, as well as provide snowshoe tours into the quiet areas outside the ski runs.

Our highly qualified, professional instructors will guide you around the many, highly varied ski runs, and help you develop your skills and increase your enjoyment. Open our door, and friendly smiles will always greet you!

Myoko Snowsports
Opening in 2009, Myoko Snowsports’ International School specializes in providing professional ski and snowboard lessons in English. A variety of programs are available for all ages and ability levels.

Our international staff all have overseas instructing experience, are internationally qualified and speak native English. Their passion for skiing and snowboarding is infectious and complements their outstanding coaching abilities. They will show you the wealth of terrain Myoko has to offer, while helping you achieve your winter goals.

Myoko Snowsports also offers a comprehensive children’s ski program. Learning is made easy with two dedicated kids’ ski areas, an indoor kids’ center, easy lift access and excellent terrain. Beginner to advanced skiers will improve through their holiday as activities and techniques are tailored to meet each group’s requirements by our specialized kids’ instructors. We look forward to welcoming you to Myoko!

Dancing Snow Guide Center and Telemark Ski School
Dancing Snow is a new center emerging from the oldest telemark ski school in Japan, and the longest-running guide center in Myoko, but now with a new focus on serving both Japanese and international clients. The director and head guide has more than 15 years of guiding and teaching experience in Myoko.

Dancing Snow’s experienced, trained guides, most of whom are bilingual, are experts in bringing guests on exciting (yet very safety-conscious) backcountry tours in the remarkable Myoko peaks. The staff have advanced avalanche, mountaineering and first aid training. We provide a regular series of tours weekly for many levels of skiers, snow hiking (excellent even for non-skiers), backcountry training and educational courses, and more.

We want to work with you to create the tour that meets your interests and abilities!
