Akakura Onsen Ski Resort

Discover the allure of the wide variety of ski slopes at the foot of majestic Mt. Myoko!

Beautiful Mt. Myoko is known as “Echigo Fuji,” reflecting the old name for the region. The Myoko Akakura Snow Area exemplifies the ski areas at its foot. The largest of Myoko’s ski areas, it consists of two areas, and 32 diverse runs. From beginners to experts, everyone can discover endless skiing possibilities. And a grand panorama spreads out below, offering beautiful views of Lake Nojiri and, in the distance, the Sea of Japan.

As one might expect of Myoko, known for its heavy snowfall, there are plenty of chances to find good powder.
